The sermon series at my church right now is entitled "1st Question in Heaven?" Where the congregation can put the questions they have on a board in the front of the church, and then our pastors will answer a question with Biblical explanation, and basically turn it into a sermon.

Today's question was whether or not we will recognize others in heaven. The scripture was Matthew 17:1-9. After explaining that we will be able to recognize people in heaven, Pastor Troy challenged us to reflect on the top 5 people we are excited/wanting to meet in heaven. Right now I can't think of 5, but two people immediately jumped into my mind when Troy was speaking.

1. My Great Grandma Palmer
My Great Grandma Palmer passed away around 2 years ago. We didn't spend that much time together because she lived in Kansas City and I live in St. Louis, but whenever I did go to Kansas City I loved seeing her. She had more faith than anyone I've ever known. I wish I could remember more from when I was younger about my time with her, but I know she was an amazing, God-loving woman. Both of my grandmas (the one on my mom's side and the one on my dad's side) and my Mom have done an incredible job of teaching me, also, how to put God first in my life. I know that when I get to meet her in heaven, it will be an amazing day.

2. Mrs. Wiggs
Mrs. Wiggs was my fifth grade teacher. She was diagnosed with a vicious form of cancer right before my fifth grade year. She tried to come to school as often as possible, despite how sick she was, and all of her cancer treatments. My mom was a teacher in the same school, and so a lot of the teachers are friends. Mrs. Wiggs had gone to a church around my town. She is an inspiration to me in a so many ways. Despite all of the obstacles that she had to face, she still put her students as a top priority. She wanted to make our last year of elementary school memorable, and she wanted to be a part of it. Mrs. Wiggs is another person I cannot wait to meet in heaven because I want to thank her for teaching me lessons beyond the classroom: about life.

Both of these women have really impacted my life. They have taught me how to live life to the fullest, and just have been great inspirations. I hope that one day I will be able to thank them in person in heaven for what they've done for me.

Until next time,
Taylor xx
