Honestly I'm extremely excited for school to start because that means it's closer to it being over. I have a feeling that my senior year will be a good year but I'm also ready to move on to bigger and better things than high school. (The countdown is ON: 278 days until my last day of high school ever). In the end I know it will be hard to leave my family for college but I think I'm ready for the challenge.
On a positive note, here are some senior year events I'm excited about:
- Homecoming: Homecoming is easily one of my favorite events of the year, and it even beat Prom last year.
- Football: I only went to 2 football games last year and the first got rained out, and the second was the Homecoming game and it was freezing. But, my brother is playing freshmen football and I'm excited to watch him play a few games.
- Swim: Swim has been such a huge part of my life for so long and I'm excited for my senior year for a lot of reasons.
- Newspaper: I have a lot of different roles on the newspaper staff this year and I'm excited to see each issue come together
- Christmas: Who isn't excited for Christmas? This Christmas is especially exciting because my cousins moved to Missouri this summer so the holidays will be even better.
- Spring Break: My dad already has our spring break trip booked and I'm extremely excited for it. (I'll share more on that later...)
- Graduation: I graduate on May 21, 2016, plus the senior class seems to be getting out of school earlier than any of the past senior classes. Our last day is May 17!
I know I will have much more to be excited about as my senior year unfolds and I hope I can keep you all updated as I go along.
