Confirmation and Stuff

At my church most of the youth go through Confirmation in 8th grade. It's crazy to think mine was already three years ago. This year it was my brother's turn. Again, it's crazy to think next year he will be going into high school and it will be my last year of high school **cue my mom crying** .

Hunter is a way better public speaker than I am. He talked about how he wanted to stay in youth group because as a 6th grader, a few specific 12th graders made him feel included/welcomed. He wants to help middle schoolers feel included like he was.

I've been putting my Polaroid camera to good use.
As some of you may know, I'm obsessed with stories: telling them, creating them, watching/reading them. I want to share with you one of the best life stories I have heard in a long time.

I've talked about the "I Am Second" series on my blog before and how much I love them. For the past month at my church we've done a sermon series based off of some of the videos. For the conclusion of the series my church did a "live" "I Am Second" with a guy from my church. From the first day I saw him I knew he had a story, it may have been extremely different from others at church, but he had a story and I wanted to know it. When I realized his story was going to be shared at the finale I was ecstatic. Click the link below, and you don't even have to watch the entire 35 minute service if you don't want to, just watch the beginning where Amadeus shares his story and I know it'll affect you.

Until next time,
Taylor xx
